These terms describe the intended use of the free Manabi Kōbō learning project.

Educational purpose

Manabi Kōbō is an independent study resource. It is provided for learning and practice and is not an accredited school, university program, language-testing authority, or substitute for professional instruction where such instruction is required.

Course completion certificates

A Manabi Kōbō certificate records completion of this project’s Guided Japanese Course under the application’s completion rules. It does not establish identity, Japanese proficiency, JLPT level, academic credit, employment qualification, or professional licensure.

Accuracy and availability

The project is maintained as a practical learning tool and may contain mistakes, incomplete explanations, software defects, or temporary outages. Content and features may be corrected, changed, or removed over time.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access or certificate controls, misuse public verification records, upload unlawful material, or use the project in a way that harms other users or infrastructure.

Third-party resources

Links, embedded services, books, communities, and external learning resources belong to their respective providers and may have their own terms, availability, and privacy practices.

No warranty / limitation

The project is offered as-is for personal learning. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Manabi Kōbō and its maintainer do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular learning outcome, or suitability for a specific professional, academic, or legal purpose.
