January is 一月, August 八月, December 十二月.
2. Dates contain fixed readings
Days 1–10 and several later dates use traditional readings.
3. Put dates into project language
Specific dates can take に.
Natural: We have a meeting on September 3.
Structure: September 3 — at time — meeting — do.

Structure: October 20 — at time — release.
